As it says upto £250 in vouchers.... What this really means is this:
MAss advertising stunt, they get 30k in 'Likes' and 30000 email addresses..... (who knows what they will do with them!)

Then, we all get an email with the voucher code, saying "Here's your voucher code to use against any Hotel on Alpharooms.com for the tune of £20....."
You see, there will only most likely be 1 voucher of £250, the rest will be £10 or £20... and then say you must spend a minimum or £100 or £200 before the voucher works......
I'll post on this thread when i get my £10 voucher! :D:D
  • Hi there,

Although not everybody who enters The Big £300k Giveaway will receive a £250 voucher, the voucher saving is a genuine saving and does not require any minimum spend. The voucher amounts are allocated to all entrants at random... but even a £10 voucher is a nice little extra off a hotel stay :)

With regards to the email addresses collected, these will not be shared with any third parties and will simply be subscribed to the alpharooms.com newsletter. You will also have the option to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. This is on our terms and conditions which can be found on the notes section of our Facebook page.

    Regards,
    Sarah from alpharooms.com

Alpha rooms did a Groupon promotion a few months ago. Buy a voucher for a cheap price and get a higher value credit. (Can't remember the figures).
I got one for our Summer holiday traveling through France, Germany, Czech republic, Italy and back. Never found any hotel they showed that would take the voucher. Despite spending hours searching their site with many different towns and cities, always came back with nothing available. They ask you to put the voucher code in before it searches and when we didnt put the voucher code in....hey presto, they found rooms!
Never got to use the Groupon voucher as it expired. Wasted the money.

Steer clear....thats my advice, use Tripadvior and they search many different booking agents.

I had vouchers from Groupon as well. We used it for Holiday in Mallorca - 6 nights witch voucher cost me less then 60 quids! Second voucher we used in Ibiza in high season. No problems with groupon and Alpharooms!

Well blow me down, just had the voucher from Alpharooms, was £10.... kinda expected....
Maybe if there advert was 'Big give away of £10 vouchers', that would have been more realistic!

I have Un-liked them from my FB page, and any future bookings, will be made NOT via them.... advertising is 1 thing, misleading to get votes deserves the cold shoulder! Travelrepublic for me! :)

I "like" them when they are cheaper than everyone else. When they are not, I "like" who ever is. simples
