Council Tax Cashback

Having read the article on council tax cashback I started to do some digging around. Having followed Martins 3 steps to checking house prices and values in 1991, it shows me that my house is in the incorrect band based on its value. However, when checking my neighbours house prices, we all appear to be in the same band. Do you think it's worth writing the VOA a letter, based on these facts?

Incorrect based on its value? its based on values in 1991 and square footage (to take into account extensions i beleive) if your property has gone down in value in comparison to 1991 then its worth having a go. I think as i remember it the value of renting your home out in 1991 that is taken into account and also has some bearing in the RV. (not 100 per cent sure on this)
I think on any council tax form there is a route for dispute that would need to be taken first.

You are lucky to get the info at all.
Since Martin's programme tonight on ITV I have been unable to log onto VOA.gov.org Message comes up as site not available.
Further down the list "VOA site closed for maintenance"
I logged on to my own council's valuation department and what do you think ?
Yes site unavailable !
Martin I think that the Goverment have closed all the sites down. Has Martin opened a can of worms.
Is any one else experiencing the same problems, If so where do we go from here.
