bt packages advice

hi, i've recently seperated and will be moving shortly and trying to work out some cheap deals etc...i really dont know much as my ex OH dealt with all those kind of things...

all i will want is a landline phone (mobile coverage is pants) which i hardly use, usually just for quick calls re kids etc, and the internet...which we do use a lot...

i've looked at the website and there is a package for £13 per month for broadband and evening and weekend calls...

as i'm a bit green i need to check....i'm thinking it £13.00 per month plus charges for calls made that dont include the free evening and weekend calls? would that be correct or are there other charges that i'm not seeing?

Plus line rental of whatever that particular vendor charges.

But, if you want a cheap deal, I really wouldn't be starting with BT...
Check your LLU options on ww.samknows.com, do an exchange search.
All providers will charge you a similar line rental on top of the charges for calls and broadband.

No no no! What that tells you is that there are no LLU suppliers. But there are still dozens of non-LLU suppliers you can choose from, so BT is not your only option. Non LLU suppliers resell the BT Wholesale service, but can still be cheaper and offer much better service.
You might have a look at Plusnet, Zen Internet or IDNet for starters.

Almost certainly you'll be able to get plusnet and/or Talk Talk to provide line rental, a call package, and broadband much cheaper. Go to their sites and put in your postcode/phone number.

Of the two I'd recommend Plusnet any day!

TT are not LLU on the OP's exchange, so would not be cheap.

Your best option would probably be Post Office Broadband Extra and phone £26.05 inc rental.E/W calls and Weekend mobile calls
