Hi
Can anyone please help? I have a hyundai Getz that is nearing the end if its MOT free period. Does anyone know if I have to take it to Hyundai or can I get it MOTed anywhere? Also I have some damage on the car and Hyundai have said that if I don't go to them to get it fixed the part of their warranty that covers paintwork will not apply. Is it worth worrying about this? As it is quite expensive with them and I doubt if I would ever call on that part of the warranty. Anyone have any experience or advice with Hyundai warranty issues???
Thanks guys,

Get your MOT done anywhere you want, and get it done 30 days before warranty expiry, then any work needing doing could be covered under warranty.
If it says that in the paintwork T&C's then I guess that's right, I have no experience of Hyundai or whether the clause saying paintwork has to be done by them is an unfair contract or not. You didn't say if the work needing doing was to the paintwork which would make sense, if it is mechanical work it would make no sense to link it to the paintwork policy.0 -
Do Huyndai not have a 7 year warranty? If so it might be worth getting it done by them.
I would say the warranty would only be void on the panels that you had repaired, might be worth ensuring anyone who does the work uses genuine Huyndai parts at least.
Go through your warranty with a fine tooth comb before deciding.0 -
You can get your MOT done where you want, and you can also get your servicing done where you want as long as they cover the manufactures guidelines and use genuine parts and are VAT registered.
As for paintwork im not sure on that one.
There will probably be an answer here > http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/home/index.htm0
