Vanquis BT Question?

in Credit cards
I'm a bit confused here, hoping someone with more knowledge than me can help.
So, I have 2 cards involved here, a Vanquis (well, granite) which had a balance of roughly £325 and a Barclaycard Initial which had basically no balance.
When I was on my Barclaycard online account I decided to do a BT of the Vanquis, £275 of it, to the Barclaycard.
All good I thought, a couple of days later the balance was shown on the Barclaycard page as planned.
However, I forgot that I had made a debit card payment to vanquis of £275 too, and that cleared today. So on my Vanquis statement I have a balance of £54 but the BT has not gone through on there yet.
What will happen, will the vanquis card go into credit, will barclaycard drop the bt?

It appears that your balance transfer hasn't gone through yet so you should URGENTLY phone Barclaycard and ask if it's not too late to cancel. If it's already gone through, you're going to have paid a balance transfer fee for no reason.
Some people have mentioned fees being charged for accounts going into credit however I don't think Vanquis do this (might want to check T&Cs though).
Chances are that if you do nothing, you'll end up with the balance on Barclaycard and a credit in Vanquis so I'd PHONE BARCLAYCARD NOW if you can.0 -
the vanquis will get frozen for going in credit though it has been knownDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I did the same thing a few months ago, they just sent a letter saying it shouldnt happen and if it does again, there will be 'penalties'. As it seems to be your first time too, I wouldnt worry too much.Total debts at start of 2012: £6000 CC (0% int.)
2012 paid off target: £1700/£1500 :rotfl:
Total debt paid: £1800/£6000 :T0
