Hi. Looking on East Coast website at train fares for Doncaster to London and return (Sat - Sun).

A Super Off Peak Single costs £37.25 (*web only price) with quite a few choices of train times.

In their Special Offers section they state that Super Off-Peak Singles booked on their website from selected East Coast stations to London and vice versa are half the usual price.

I can't figure out though if the 50% has already been deducted from the quoted £37.25 or is taken off when you make a firm booking online?

If it has already been deducted I may as well go for a Super Off Peak return ticket for £75.50.

Can someone please confirm what the correct price would be?

Also, am I correct in thinking that I could use ANY train for Don-London and vice-versa with these tickets, as it will be on a weekend?

Many thanks:)

That £37.25 fare is the fare you pay.

That does actually make a return trip using two Super Off Peak Singles £1.00 cheaper than a Super Off Peak Return.

All those tickets can be used on any train on Saturday or Sunday.

i tried finding a cheap return fare for the beginning of december to londonian and the figures coming back to me were a joke
i have booked a big bus ticket ,just hope the toilets dont smell after reading comments in other sections on here
  • you have to book early to get the cheapest tickets and they do specil offers also i recently traveled with east coast fom leeds to london for£10 return :)
  • All weekend is off peak.

£75 odd is a reasonable price

Worth getting tube tickets at the same time if you want to travel around to different areas.
