Do holiday prices fluctuate?

Yesterday I was looking at holidays to Mexico with First Choice and found the perfect one - it was a bit more than we had wanted to pay but it looks so gorgeous, plus we didn't go away this year that we decided we'd scrimp and scrape to afford it.
However when I've gone back and looked today, the total holiday price has gone up by about £100 and it's really just too expensive now. Is this likely to change again? And if so, is it likely to get lower again or will it just keep going up? I even cleared my cookies and deleted my browsing history on the suspicion that was the reason it had gone up, to no avail.
I spent hours and hours looking for holidays, before settling on this one and convincing my partner that we could afford it
So annoying, especially since this hotel doesn't seem to be widely used by UK tour operators.

Have you considered booking direct with the hotel and airline?0

Yes I had a look at that yesterday and it was working out more expensive as the flights are quite costly. Might be worth me having another look now though! I also worry about insurance/cancellation etc with it all being direct.0

From experience I know that prices rise if you view a particular holiday several times over a short period .
My advice would be to go back to it in a few days & no peekingNever tell .0 -

God it's so sneaky isn't it! Right, I'll hold back until next weekend and pounce if the price shows as lower:D0 -

Deleting cookies should sort that out.
I know that prices can change mid week to weekend. So if the Sunday price is cheaper than Monday, it may be worth waiting until the weekend.
Of course it could be that the holiday is popular and more bookings have been taken and so they can afford to try a price increase.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. Right, I'll be patient until next weekend then, but I've got a bad feeling that I'll have to find somewhere else to stay0

Juice,we are regular travellers and you really have to do your homework on the prices, last June i was on Thomas Cook website and got offered 11 nights at the Cleopatra palace in Tenerife on a B&B basis for £880,we booked it straight away.
A few weeks ago i went on line and the same holiday is now £1795,That is some difference, just goes to show what margins there must be0 -
I am keeping an eye on a holiday to cuba on the 15th December...so far so good it is coming down0

I'm also watching on on First Choice to Mexico. It's come down by £40 since last week. Now it's whether to book it or see if it drops further...!0

Prices change
Good idea to have flexability on places and dates so you can pick the ones that drop.
If you tend to do imilar things there is always next time fot the favourate
It is also a good idea to monitor price for a lot f dates so you know when the price rock bottom.0
