I hope one of you girls can help me out as I'm not too sure whether I can use it.

I am currently six months pregnant and was told by a friend I should avoid using lavender during pregnancy, which I'd never heard of. Ages ago (I mean pre-pregnancy) I took an Avon Lavender and Lily shower gel out of my stash ready to use after the current one is finished and am wondering whether it will be safe to use or whether I should just go shopping in my stash for another shower gel and use this one up after the baby is born.

Does anyone know if it will be ok to use or whether I should just not risk it?

sorry Lynsey don't know anything about lavender and pregnancy but i'm sure others will be along soon who do.
I had another UU yesterday, was blitzing this place pre viewing today and was sorting out toiletries and found a Sanctuary foaming pumice footscrub, i've had it too long as it had separated, i tried shaking it together but it just wouldn't mix. I thought i'd just empty it down the sink then i realised i could use it to gently clean some lime off the sink/shower soap dish so that was used up that way. Did a lovely job lol

don't quote me but I think it is full strength lavender oil that would be the problem not the diluted amount used in shower gel

1 in, but it was a belated birthday present, so it doesn't count. (However it does mean that I now don't need to buy anything for aaaages again.)

I LOVE this using up stuff. I actually love it more than I ever loved buying any of it. *checks temperature and goes for a lie down*

Tonight DH UU'd the apple shampoo so we have now moved onto a mandarin flavour alberto balsam shampoo. WIBA?: Yes, alberto balsam is our HG shampoo. It's cheap and suits everyone in the family's hair which is difficult as we all have different hair types :)

I have just found out that Original Source have a limited edition black cherry and almond shower gel out!!
My two favourite scents-- ohh I can't wait to try it.

Is it a bit sad to be that excited about a shower gel? :)

No, and I'm with you on that one. I love OS and I love those scents. I need a bit of toiletries related cheering-up.

I was supposed to have an Avon order arrive. No sign and I cant contact the rep, silly me.

I gave the only copy I had of the rep's phone no to my friend, so she could ask rep for a catalogue...

Of course, the friend didn't bother ringing and has thrown out the rep's number, despite being asked nicely to keep it safe.
I was in a hurry on the way out for the bus when friend called, should have made friend wait for the number until I could write it down for her.

I know what she's like, soooo dozy, I KNEW she would throw it and not bother. It wasn't malice, just doziness, and my own fault, really.
The order was originally due on the 7th, I had a note from rep. saying it would be the 14th and there's still no sign.

  • Two OUTs for me over the weekend:

Original Source Golden Pineapple shower gel - WBA as it smells lovely, lathers up really nicely, is thick (I really hate watery shower gels) and very affordable. My only bugbear with it is that I seem to get through it really quickly as loads comes out of the bottle at once, but that might be my heavy-handed squeezing. Now on to Lush It's Raining Men.

Benefit Playsticks foundation in Spin The Bottle
    - WBA as it blends well and gives a really nice level of coverage without feeling too heavy. Now on to Lancome Teint Miracle in Lys Rose.
