Hi guys
Where is good for advertising that is preferably free or very cheap?
I work for avon as a rep and a Sales Leader (so i recruit too) and looking to save myself some pavement pounding in the winter by advertising as much as possible.

If you google free ads you'll come up with lots of sites where you can place ads free. Gumtree, Vivastreet etc
Local newsagents, supermarket community boards etc all pretty low cost.'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'

You could try Twitter? Set up a specifically work orientated account, search for and add anyone who tweets about what you are trying to advertise (in your case make up/employment/Avon, preferably in your area?). I did this before and got retweeted by someone with nearly 500,000 followers which generated loads of interest for the website I was promoting, for free!
Good Luck

Ok I don’t fully know how the Avon thing works, do you get a website from them or do you make one of your own? If you dont have one already, then you should make one. There are loads of sites that help you make one at a very low cost.
Once you get a website a good way to advertise cheaply online is using the Pay Per Click (PPC)service from “Ehalos” Search engine.
If you open a new account with them they give you $100 free credit. (Please note though to activate a new account you have to also deposit $10 (roughly about £6) which is added to your account right away)
They don’t make you sign any contracts or the like and most keywords are still about $0.10-$0.15 so you get around 1,000 clicks through to you site for about £6, which is really good value.
I don’t know which web hosting providers Ehalos works with, but if you contact your webhosting provider they might also be able to give you a voucher that you can use on your Ehalos account that will give you an additional $100 credit.
Hope this information is of use to you
