Nissan Micra Automatic

Hi All
I'm looking to buy a 1996 Automatic. I've previously only driven Manuals. Are there any common problems with Nissan Micra Automatics?

make sure on the test drive it is quiet in the box ie no noises like a hawking noise,no snatching and it goes into gear smoothly
these are nice cvt boxes when they work but ideally you want to be looking for a low mileage example and they are better with power steering fitted
remember also that factory rustproofing on these was a joke so you need to give it a good inspection on all underbody parts as they literally rot everywhere really badly at this age

The only problems I can think of are an apparent maximum speed of 20mph, a tendency to hold people up at junctions, an annoying habit of driving the wrong way around roundabouts etc. Occasionally you also see them going the wrong way in one way streets.
