Holiday Insurance

Options
I booked my holiday with Thomson today. And since this is was done over the phone i asked the sales assistant to clearly tell me exactley each item would cost. He said that x amount for flight, x amount for hotel and ax amount for tranfer. But got an e-mail from him and i have noticed that he has added insurance to it which i have not discused with him.

I have e-mail it back to him to remove the insurance from it and awaiting his reply.

My question is that he may not remove it. What is my right?

Thanks

You have a 14 day cooling off period during which you can cancel provided you haven't claimed.

However I would be more concerned if you thought that you had bought a package holiday as defined by the Package Travel Regulations. If it was a package holiday it should be one total price. If it is broken down by flight, hotel and transfers then I sounds like you have bought a dynamic package which is not covered by the PTR.

    Ask for clarification.

absolutely cancel the insurance at least: they charge an enormous amount: go with insure & go: about 1/4 the price of most holiday insurance packages.
Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.

Thanks: I did ask for clarification but was told that we have given you one single free insurnace and that if i wanted to cancel then they would remove it but will make no diffenrance to the amount.

I asked as to why this not mentioned to me at the time of booking, he said that it wouldn't made any diffenrance.

So dont where to go from here.

So they have added insurance for free? Why would you want it removed?
