New Honda Car - Major Problem - Advice Needed

Was it bought on HP?
This will have an effect on the legislation that applies and who your rights are against.
I wouldn't advise going straight to Honda though as this may have an effect on her statutory rights in the future.
There is no such thing as legislation giving people 28 days to change their mind in a contract, any contract at all. But she should have an argument for a repair or replacement if the car is faulty. The legislation that applies in this case will depend on how she paid for the car.0 -

I think you'll find Honda UK are involved, and they are the ones stating the 'fault' is not a fault, but 'characteristic of the car'"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
Yes - Honda UK originally said that the car would be replaced with an alternative car, but subsequently changed their tune. My friend actually gave them a colour for her replacement car, so that they couldn't just give her the old car back. Now though, the original person who told my friend about the replacement no longer works at honda anymore, and are now saying the heavy steering is a "characteristic" of the car and now won't replace it...0

Please note that the legislation in Hintza's link would not apply if you have bought on HP, hence the reason I asked how it was purchased!0
