CO-OP Bank PPI claims

Apologies if there is already a thread but I don't appear to be able to find one for this bank.

Is anyone else dealing with this bank or had any PPI experiences? To date this is the only bank who haven't even acknowledged my SAR request and that was 30 days ago.

What do I do on day 40 please?

    Hi

There have been a few on this site, although maybe not as much as you see of other banks, but there have been reclaims against them for being mis sold ppi.

Have you actually made a start on the reclaiming?

You can do so as long as you have your reasons of being mis sold and your account number.

An SAR should normally take up to 40 calendar days, although you do not require this as such, (yet it maybe useful in time) you can still make a reclaim.

I would though give them a ring and ask them when you should expect to receive your SAR and have they debited your £10 payment for this request? if paid by cheque for the request.

Meanwhile to make a reclaim, just follow the link below to the reclaim questionnaire on step 3, complete, save copies and send to whoever sold you the account, head office or complaints, good luck.

  • I've still had no acknowledgement from the CO-OP, not even a "we're looking into it". Anyone else had any problems with a CO-OP PPI claim?

    Chase them up.

I had no real problems with them when I made my complaint, they were the fastest of mine to reply and the first to pay out.

Acknowledged 12 May, Complaint upheld 27 June, Cheque sent 26 July
  • Cheers Dr,
I will chase them again-but this will now be my third letter

Might be better to give them a call if you can, I've always found them very helpful.
