Youngs fishermans crumble or mariners pie frozen buy 1 get 2 free £2. total price
I just noticed these in my Tescs tonight and bought some... unfortunately, I think this offer ends today. I might go back and get some more tonight as they are really nice just with some veg and a bargain! £2 for 3 meals!0 -
Hmm...If they're yummy, perhaps it's because they're more than a third sugar! And then there's loads of fat. Even the salt content is 4x the amount I put in home-made bread. Look at all the additives too - would you use them in home baking?
Sorry to be a misery, and I'm not saying I'd never eat them (not sure I'd feed them to my kids though), but there really is a lot more to food than price, unless you're desperately hard up. And it's surprisingly easy to make your own mincemeat and mince pies, if you have just a little time. Instead of putting preservatives in them, freeze them (baked or unbaked).0 -
