Lensway Spectacles BEWARE!!!!

This company sells discount spectacles for £29.00 and was recommended on this site. I bought two pairs of "designer" glasses from them and was charged £29.00 each. When they arrived I simply could not see anything through the glasses.
I phoned their 0800 customer service number which connected me to someone in Canada who explained that I had bought the bronze option lenses which were not suitable for my prescription.
I explained that when I went to their website I entered the correct prescription and when I tabbed through to the lens options I was faced with three choices Bronze Silver and Gold. I can't remembre which option was shown as the default either silver or gold but as they were an additional cost option and there were no warnings of any kind I took the bronze option. The website accepted this without quibble or warning. The customer service person was totally unrepentant and not in the least bit apologetic for selling me lenses that he was instantly able to tell me were totally unsuitable for my prescription! Hopefully I will get a refund but I won't be buying from them again and I would hope that Martin's Money won't be pointing anyone in their direction again!

I bought glasses from them and upgraded the lenses suitable for my prescription, sadly the lenses were warped and the glasses had to be returned. One quick email, they sent me a returns label and refunded quickly.
Sometimes these things happen but it's how they handle it which is important. I wont be using them again as my opticians seem to get it right but many have had glasses without issues. This isn't a grabbit either, needs to move to the praise, vents and warnings board.Comping wishlist for 2017

I second what you said OP. i to bought a pair of glasses from them and I cant see out of them , they make me ill.
I thought i had inputted the wrong data but on checking I`ve put in the exact requirements that were on my prescription and they`re wrong. My optician checked them....

I have had 3 pairs of glasses from them and they are all great and I have recomended them to friends who have also used them with no problems but all are standard or reading prescriptions. Just wondering if the ones that went wrong were for bifocal or varifocal prescriptions?30+ years working in banking0

I ordered from them and my glasses were great. In a separate offer I ordered another pair, but the frame looked horrible on me. I phoned them - yes, a Canadian woman - who couldn't have been more helpful. They send a bag to return the glasses and refunded me really quickly. I had a really good experience with them0

I would never order Varifocals/bifocals online. Even single vision are a problem. The measurements are too precise.
