As I say, grab a bargain now if it works out, but you will still be in the same position this time next year whether you are with DL or RAC.
It depends what DL issue on the renewal.
It DL issue proof of 8 years, so long as you inform the insurer how you got it, most will then credit the full 8 years on your new quote.0 -
Just got off the phone to RAC Team manager and managed to get £64 knocked off cancellation fees. Hooray! Fanfare for the common man (and woman). It pays to mention this site and FOS and watchdog. Don't get angry, get even.
Thanks to everyone for their advice.
Time to open a cheap bottle of cider to celebrate!
Cheers!0 -
Not a bad result for a phonecall. It always pays to complain if the charges appear unfair.0

RESULT!....a better deal for cancellation fees. Which goes to show you can wangle...or threat. Speak to someone in management who for some reason CAN negotiate!
Why?...don't know
All I say is when you get a quote on whatever website.. PHONE the company first rather go on their website and make sure your details are right.
Hassle?....yes but worth it in the end.
