A better bet might be Irish Meadow from Tesco. £3.97 or £3.99 and add cheap wine (have a lot from DTD days) plus a bit of basic whisky.
  • It's easy to make your own... and a lot cheaper...

    Cheers

Yesterday at Sainsburys all the displays said £14 for the 1 litre bottles?

That's probably because it was yesterday and not today ;)

I'm getting a few bottles of the Biscotti tonight - looking forward to trying it!

How does the "Irish Meadow" compare to Baileys?
  • I just bought 6 bottles paying £50.44:D

(Less than £8.41 for a 1 litre bottle)

This price includes a 15% staff discount.

Thanks to to lovely woman who lend me her card:beer:

With the 100 points Nectar points given, that in fact brings the price down to £49.94:j

Aldi are now stocking their Specially Selected version of their "Faileys" (I think its really called "Ballycastle Irish", or something like that) for £5.99 for 70cl (£8.56 litre). It tastes just as good to me - there's only the one flavour tho. :)

I always go for the cheap when wanting the original flavour. But I'm a sucker for the mint and caramel versions :o

I'm thankful to have gotten a sample size bottle of this...its nice but horrid at the same time. As in, it doesnt make your face screw up in disgust but its far from enjoyable.
  • Noticed this evening whilst in Sainsbury's litre bottles of Balieys all flavours being sold for £9.39!!!

Got to get some in at this price as it was £14 on monday!!!

    Happy drinking:j

I am hanging fire, last year when the 'bailey's war' kicked off, Asda reduced the price, then Tesco. If I remember correctly for one week the Baileys was £8 in Asda, that's when I stocked up.
