'Checking online shopping on the Sainsburys website, I've noticed that one litre bottles of Baileys are down as being £9.89 from Wednesday onwards for one week. Original, biscotti and hazelnut flavours are included, and would imagine it will be instore too!'

Not had baileys since I was 18 and got my 1st ever hangover, it was enough to put me off it for life lol. My mum loves the stuff though. Which is the most popular flavour or perhaps I would be best sticking to the original?

Aldi are now stocking their Specially Selected version of their "Faileys" (I think its really called "Ballycastle Irish", or something like that) for £5.99 for 70cl (£8.56 litre). It tastes just as good to me - there's only the one flavour tho.

i dont buy baileys anymore, i go to aldi and get ballycastle and costs £5.99 i think. 14% proof:eek: and smells /tastes the same.

When talking in % alcohol leave off proof as it is a different scale 14% ABV would be 28 proof. Absolut Vodka use both, they say 40% ABV / 80 Proof.

Baileys is made with whiskey and is 17%, some of the cheaper equivalents are made with some whisky and wine and are 14%. The better equivalents are made with whisky/whiskey and are the full 17%. Just so you know what you're buying and can compare appropriately.

Starting on Wednesday 2nd November, Sainsbury's will be selling their 1 litre bottles of Bailey's for £9.89 - half-price!

As far as I am aware, this offer will be available both online and in-store.
