Oh dear... my fingers did that wierd twitchy thing on the keyboard again and lo! the girls are now the proud owners of a child safe lamp for their room

So I spent today. It was going to be a spend day, then I saw the price of what I was going to buy this morning in the shops and decided against it. So up until 10 minutes ago my planned spendy day had turned into an unplanned NSD but then the wierd twitchy thing occured. I suppose there's a lesson in there somewhere *wanders off to try to work out the lesson* :cool:

Evening all! Popping in to take refuge from the Mr T thread and an awful lot of bickering atm I love a bargain and got a great couple of bits at the weekend thanks to the lovely posters on there but it's not a very happy place atm - sigh.

Anyway, I can declare NSD....err....#6 :j doing a little better than last month, though still a way to go. Did order an xmas card today but paid for with paypal balance so no 'proper' money exchanged hands.

Big hugs and big congrats to all those who need them, brrrrrr, isn't it getting chilly out there, winter is deff knocking at autumn's door...gotta run, cat has just stuck her bum in my face and I'm having trouble seeing my keyboard now....

Spend day today,just a few groceries and a birthday present and card for a friend.Getting my hair cut tomorrow plus visitors here,so my next NSD will be Friday hopefully.

NSD #6 for me

This challenge is having a positive effect on me:

Previously I would go home for lunch and on the way back to the office stop at the canteen for a cup of tea. Now, I fill a flask with coffee while I'm home to save pennies and stop the potential ruining of a NSD.

Tonight I went to the pictures with a friend (free as have a cinema pass) and didn't buy snacks, but took something with me from home.

I filled up the car using the giftcard I buy every month from work (works out as a 5% discount on my petrol from my local supermarket)

Not sure how I'll do, but I quite fancy aiming for #7 tomorrow which would be three in a row. I'll see how much food is left in the house first :rotfl:

Haha Kerry, isn't it funny how cats love to sit on keyboards/walk on them,pester u constantly when ur on the computer? i think its becuase you aren't 100% focused on them so they're like 'how dare you! Lookatmeeelookatmeee' lol

I have now been budged up the sofa as the cat decided she wanted to sit where I was ..... :eek:

Just a quick one from me, kinda on/off topic. Do you remember a while back one of my friends called me something not very nice when I wanted to collect her cc points, bascially making out I was a cheapskate etc? Well, over the past week she's been worrying about the amount she's spending on 'stuff' every week and not really saving etc so started asking me for budgeting advise etc. Now, it would be catty of me to sound smug but I couldn't help feel an element of 'oh, now you want my advise so am I not such a **** afterall?'.
Then to follow it up, she started discussing how one of the papers had had a £5 off £40 shop in Mr T the weekend before and what a good deal it was and she was annoyed she'd missed it as she might have used it. I did have to bite my tongue but couldn't help piping up 'they have things like that all the time' ...certainly made me feel better about the previous 'incident' though

Kerri, I wouldn't blame you at all for being smug, it's not catty at all. it's very satisfying. Lol!
