When i was fitting plaster coving by myself one of the problems i had was, 'cos of the weight of it and that it took a while to stick to the wall/ceiling it kept falling off. To get around this a nailed a serious of small nails half way into the wall at say about 12" intervals, and a distance from the ceiling the same as your coving, usually 4"/5". When you put your coving into place these small nails then act like brackets to stop it falling until the adhesive is set. Once you have the coving up you need to put more small nails in but this time into the ceiling and hard up to the top edge of the coving, again this stops the coving tipping off.
The next day pull your nails out and probably the holes will be so small you'll not see them after you've painted.

I put up standard 100 mm Gyproc coving, using the Gyproc coving adhesive, and no nails or other support. The secret was to put plenty of adhesive on the coving edges, and then press it firmly in place, starting at one end, then working along, taking care to position, then press. I was surprised how well it held. Once pressed on, it is hard to get it off. The only problem ight be if the room is very wonky, then you raeally need to use more cement, and press on very firmly. I used two trestles, end to end, so I could walk along the wall and press the coving into place. I only had one piece fall off and that was stupidity on my part, as I had not pressed the end on well enough. There is a good video on You Tube from Gyproc, just ignore the 1970's cinema advert 'music'.

The coving size I'm looking at is about 25cm x 15 cm.

Not sure how many people, I understood 1 would be putting it up.
