Right! *rolls up sleeves* I'm here

First of all can I add my thanks to Piggers, Toots and Asbo for their sterling work over the years.
Then (as we are changing over to the coalition) a massive thanks to you all - I'm brave now and bob all over the forum but I consider this thread my online 'home' and I really appreciate knowing I can get some support - it's hard being a single parent and having people to bounce ideas off is so so useful and helpful - you cannot imagine it.

What have you seen me through? I feel stronger now than I ever did; my house is cleaner than it was and I have found the strength to get rid of stuff that isn't beautiful or useful (wasn't that PenPens siggy for a while?) and life is easier. Yes I am lonely sometimes (today!) but I am true to myself so I'm not 'in a relationship' because that's the easiest thing to be (and I could have been) and when things go wrong you are here and you're lovely. Some of you have also been my lifelines when I was stepping out...

What have I seen while I have been here? Toots - ever stoical, Lamewolf - putting up with way more than I ever had to (also JoJoTF) I have walked a quarter of a mile in both your shoes and I am thankful that I was able to take a detour - and I so wish you could join me on my route.
Lady Liberty - I often don't mention you but you're so often in my thoughts. And Diva's Tris - I'm still 'wow' at that...

And our Flyladies who have left us - MoneySavingDiva and mummyslittleboy - you, and your loved ones are often in my thoughts.

And me - well - my mum's NDN's daughter is still battling a brain tumour. And today I found out my beloved cousin has breast cancer - stage 3... - with all my heart I wish them both the strength to fight - life is short and precious and I deserve a slap.

    So onwards and upwards Flyladies!

Valli - my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family - life can appear to be really tough at times - I have had a difficult year too. But you need to be kind to yourself and no you do not deserve a slap! It can be hard to be on the side lines when your loved ones are hurting and struggling with what life throws at them.

    Evening all

I've just realised how long I've not been on here - no particular reason, really, and I'm pleased as punch to be back.

Thank you to pigpen, toots and asbo for everything you've done. I hope you'll still be around, as I'd miss 'hearing' your 'voices'.

Also thank you to dusty, jue and kazw for stepping in to keep the thread going. You'll do a great job, I'm sure. I'm so glad I've not come back to a gaping hole on the old-style board. Phew!

I'd like to be back in from tomorrow, if that's ok. As much as I'd love to do the lists properly and join in with the challenges, I know from experience how easily I set my sights too high, crash and burn. The LR is almost tidy after a bit of an effort over half-term, so a HHC every day on top of regular dailies should see it finished by the end of the week.

OH's or DS1's contribution tomorrow will hopefully be to take DS2 trick-or-treating while I stay at home in my witch costume to hand out goodies, sort tea and fly. :) Second thoughts, the outfit has really long sleeves. I may not dress up after all.

Time to see the half-term break out with a nice cuppa, think about work and get a reasonably early night. As usually I won't be able to keep up with the thread during term-time, but I'll post every night and read back a page or so.
