my local tescos told me that no receipts can be scanned at a later time as people were using receipts that they had found. this was about three to four weeks ago.

It really shouldnt matter who gets the points - after all someone has paid tesco for the goods purchased. It is tescos idea to operate a clubcard and give points for deals so what does it matter who claims points. I willingly gave some to a friend last week and she claimed them - is this against policy.

Just another matter of Tesco moving the goal posts again & again & again.

They issue points then kick up a fuss when they are claimed !!!!!!

They issue money off vouchers then argue if you try and use them !!!!!

They have a coupon policy at head office, but each store changes the rules !!!

They offer Refund and retain if prices wrong - then moan when people use this to their own advantage !!!!!

The comsumer cant win with Tesco

If any Tesco staff are reading this just note if your company implements a policy dont moan if people use that policy. After all the consumer didnt make the rules Tesco did.

Yes it is abused but maybe you need better policy makers to close the loopholes. We are doing nothing wrong as consumers.

OK - my rant is over.
I do actually like tesco and there wierd and wonderful policies - Ive saved loads, spent loads and Im happy.
If they stop accepting coupons Ill definatly shop elsewhere.
If they stop R&R I may contact trading standards re the hugh number of overprices in store. But at present Im happy.

coupons/R&R/clubcard points its a big game when I go shopping, it would be soooo boring if these didnt exist, like shopping at Morrisons, Asda, sainsburys - no fun
Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T

I can't believe people go around picking up receipts just for a few extra points anyway.

I read somewhere (on another forum) where someone found a receipt for a TV and a club card had not been used. So that contained a fair few points.

On this same forum some of the members say you can send them do their Customer Services place in Dundee, even if there are more than three or they are over 14 days old.
  • When CSD staff add points it is logged and monitored to see if there is any pattern or link with the clubcard holder - it is not unknown for staff to womble especially arount the PFS and then get the points - this is why the 3 receipt rule and 28 days is implemented the cashiers would refuse to do more as it could lead to 'discussions'. Also the points added come off each stores budget so a tight manager will not want to spend any more than they have to

but the money has been spent so why don't they want to issue the points? it doesn't make any sense. they are not losing anything?
