Printer problem

I very rarely use my printer and I think the ink has solidified in the cartridge. I would be grateful if someone could tell me if the ink can be reliquified or if I do have to buy a new cartridge how to prevent it happening again Thanks in anticipation Kathy

The ink usually dries and clogs the printer heads. It can often be cleared by doing a head clean / printer maintenance from the print menu. What make of printer is it ?0

Most inkjet printers have their heads built into the cartridge.
Epson have their heads built into the machine. This makes for cheap cartridges as they are just ink tanks, however, when the heads dry out (turning the machine off when not properly parked or letting the cartridge dry out) its time to buy a new printer.0 -
