Union tariffs

Anyone know anything about union tariffs. Was looking to join a union and see that on the GMB website they say you can get a discount on gas and electricity but don't say what the discount amounts to. Anyone know for sure?

I suspect that the reason Unions promote energy is to benefit from commission due to membership sign ups rather than looking after their members interests.

I know that Unisons equivalent is a comparison site - as above - the union gets a commission from the switch
