craftingmad wrote: »Me for today as follows:-
1. Went through christmas cupboard and found loads of things I have already bought and forgotton about (an extra 10 presents off list for me without spending any extra cash - result)
2. Whilst going through cupboard found duplicate present bought for son so i found the receipt & is ready to go back to get £7.99 refund
3. Contacted Toys R Us and got them to add on all the points I should have earned on my purchases onto my reward card (as I'd forgotton it each time I went into store) - this should
give me enough of a spend for more money off vouchers just in time for crimbo.
4. Resisted buying pick of the day from create and craft - so proud of myself - the old me would have just reached for the computer and ordered without thinking
5. Stopped hubby buying daughters main present until I had searched to see if I could find discount voucher and get Quidco cashback - result was extra £7 off and quidco tracking at
£9.19 - another result!
Two days in a row I've met my targets - I'm on a roll!!!
Aw thats great going!! very MSE
and of course another

Southern_Sadie wrote: »Hi everyone, it's great reading everyone's achievements.
justamummy - sorry to hear about the redundancy, and good luck with your interview prep.
My aim is to do one positive thing each day for my finances, my career/work, my family, my OH and my health. So yesterday I managed to:
- (work) tidy up and clean the attic and set up an 'office' for myself
- (family) bake healthy muffins
- (finances) set up an online spending diary so I don't have to carry a notebook and pen around with me
- (health) do an hours' exercise and finally put batteries in my pedometer, so I can set myself better goals for walking
- (finances) set up online banking on an account I opened a year ago and had never used
- (finances) sold 2 old mobile phones
Phew! That's more than 5, but I wanted to do something for OH as well. Will try again today.
Godd luck everyone!
Well done on all of those steps southern sadie!!! i like the fact you are doing your steps over such a variety of things
and you have your first
too
