Question about Ebay refunds?

Ok so i sold a pair of what i thought where new G-Star Jeans on Ebay the other day, then the guy gets into contact with me saying that the jeans have been well worn and he's demanding a refund saying that there's fraying on the bottom and so on, anyway i bought the jeans about a year and a half ago from the store in Birmingham but never wore them because they where to long and i couldn't get a refund on them so i only recently just stuck then on EBay. i know i haven't wore them and i know the G-Star store wouldn't take them back if they had been worn so i get the feeling something isn't right here.
anyway is there a chance he bought the same pair of jeans wore those and is trying to pull a fast one?
also if i refund him do i have to refund the P+P fees?

Nice reply to Newbie
Yes you do refund the original price and p&p, if a dispute is opened this is what you will have to do and a mark goes against your account.0 -
Now the original reply
Why on earth did you advertise them as new when they were about a year and a half old?Ok so i sold a pair of what i thought where new G-Star Jeans on Ebay the other day, then the guy gets into contact with me saying that the jeans have been well worn and he's demanding a refund saying that there's fraying on the bottom and so on, anyway i bought the jeans about a year and a half ago..........
Why couldn't you get a refund?but never wore them because they where to long and i couldn't get a refund on them
Suggests to me you knew the store wouldn't take them back as you had worn them,I also get the feeling "something isn't right here."i know i haven't wore them and i know the G-Star store wouldn't take them back if they had been worn so i get the feeling something isn't right here.
Highly unlikely in my opinionanyway is there a chance he bought the same pair of jeans wore those and is trying to pull a fast one?
Absolutely,as you suggested they were new and they obviously are not you should also be refunding the return postage.also if i refund him do i have to refund the P+P fees?
Clothes buyers on Ebay are amongst the most particular and anything not as advertised will result in a claim0 -

So possibly not *new G Star jeans* then if even you werem't sure of something about them.
Whatever the actual situation is here you will almost certainly lose a SNAD claim, so just tell buyer to return them for a full refund.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I have not used Ebay for a couple of years, but don't the "new/used" options relate to the condition of the item? If this is the case, then I would say that the seller could use "new" if the item was in the same condition as they originally purchased it in the store.:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:D:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:jMe and the gang!!!0

Yes; I have listed some items as new which were bought ages ago but never worn and were in mint condition.
However, the OP must know whether or not they've worn the jeans...if in any doubt, I'd always describe them as used, just to protect myself...if it turned out the jeans were new, it would be an unexpected bonus for my customer.0
