I would also suggest sticking a photocopy of appropriate page in the complaint to the insurance company, hopefully one with date guide published. This may well speed things along and help them get resolved quicker rather than waiting for them to verify if it is correct.0 -
Thank you all do much for your help. I really do appreciate it. As requested the insurance company was premium choice and ageas (formally fortis) are the underwriters. Premium choice convinced me to pay extra for a claims manager also when I took out the policy. This is a company called wisecall and they have done nothing except appoint a firm of solicitors for me.0

The irony being Fortis / Aegis are part of a company from Belgium0
