How to transfer 2 year warranty for GHD Irons sold on Ebay?

Hi,

I am planning to sell my GHD Straighteners on Ebay. I only bought them a couple of months ago and I have found them unsuitable for my hair. I registered them for the 2 year warranty on the GHD website so how can this warranty be transferred or used if I sell it to someone on Ebay? Also presumably the 2 year warranty would run from the date when I originally purchased them.

Thanks in advance

    Hi,

20p says you're auction will get pulled, and you'll get a letter from the legal GHD team threatening you with court action for selling counterfit GHDs!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Can anyone else give me some advice as I am hoping to list them this week.

    Thanks.

The only way you are going to find out is by asking their customer services if it is transferable. Most companies don't allow it, you will be lucky if they do.

And again, I will advise you that listing GHDs on Ebay is generally a BAD idea due to the number of counterfeit products. But if you'd like your Ebay count potentially frozen or closed, then go ahead!

Warranties are usually only valid for the person who bought them, and become null and void when selling them on.

i don't think you can transfer the warranty, infact i'm 99% certain you cant.
do you have the receipt? I would strongly recommend you photograph the receipt next to them for ebay then maybe another close up of the reciept, may help stopping them being removed.

if you send the reciept when you sell them and the new owner had a problem later they could maybe say you are a friend / they were a gift from you / return them to you for you to get repaired under warranty?
