I have found a share certificate for 18 shares in Baltimore Technologies Plc. I've searched around through google and see they were acquired by Oryx International. It suggests that the acquisition was for shares in Oryx but I don't have a certificate for them. Can anyone let me know if I should have a certicate or how I can find out about a possible holding in Oryx

Companies dont like to give certs for small amounts, I expect they'd want to charge for that

Baltimore Technologies Plc went to the wall a long time ago.
Your share cert is worth zilch.
Either frame it as a reminder that shares can go down (to nothing) as well as up or throw it in the bin.

Luckily you only had 18 shares, unlike many who lost a great deal more.

My Baltimore Technology shares were acquired for £1097.90 and the replacement 6 Oryx shares are worth £12.15, a loss of 98.89%.

I got a tech company ZEN like in that article now except I think they will pull through and are still viable. Its more engineering then pure tech though
