Once I did my weekly shop, got to till and realised after all rung through that my card was in my other bag, shop got taken to customer service while I dashed home, when I returned they had lost receipt but I knew the exact price as I'd noted it down - they wouldn't accept that understandably so re rang all the shopping thru - they came up with a total £12 dearer so I queried it and they rang it thru again, this time coming up with £6 less than the original price bemused I just paid but I always check now! My Asda give a £2 gift card for every item they overcharge you for. Checkthis with their head office, as you may be due a lot more than £5.

AFAIK it's per different item, so peppers counts as one item, bread would be another, milk another etc, no matter how many peppers you had.
Trying very hard to be frugal and OS - just plodding on and doing my best!

I always check my receipt outside the store if I go through a manned checkout. Last month, I bought 6 bottles as it was 2 lots of 3 for £12. I found out I was charged for 7 bottles.

because if they just charged the price their stock control system will be wrong.

True, I am even more surprised I let my wife have a lie in this morning while I went shopping in Costco, Tesco and Morrisons!

    How nice of you :)
  • This happened to me yesterday at Sains! Bought 2 grapefruits, got charged for 21! But when I went to customer services they gave me them both free :)

We always check our bill before we get to the customer service till.
Also would like to know why people just dont type Asda or Morrisons
instead of using the stars? :)
