Went shoppping in A's yesterday and was shocked at the bill but just thought we'd got carried away (bought a curry and some nice wine plus a few 'treats' on top of the usual suspects.
Logged ontoday to do my price checker and looked more closely at the receipt - they'd charged us for 2 red peppers we bought, plus 61 more red peppers!!!!!
Hubbie is currently at the store getting the money back.
I'm making ratatouille later - would be a bloody big one if i had 63 red peppers to put in it!

Was it just the red peppers that wereput through in error or was it other items you were overcharged for. Should have said something before you left the store.0

Only the red peppers...and didn't notice it until last night.
No problem getting the refund though and they gave us a £5.00 voucher for the inconvenience. I will be looking more closely from now on tho'Mortgage starting balance - [STRIKE]£151,030 [/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£143,733.28[/STRIKE] £137,000 (25 years to go...):o0 -
You've got to watch them, although it's just not Asda. I bought some yoghurt the other day and was charged the full price rather than the discounted one on the shelf. I deliberately chose it because it was cheaper. Was in a rush so didn't bother to go back, but I wonder how many more 'mistakes' are made.0

I am surprised people do not check their receipt before they leave the shop. I think it would have been pretty easy to spot this mistake0

Jayok, u seem to be having a very suprising day today!!!0

lol Well at least you had the money, I would have been the one standing at the till saying "I'll have to put something back" (presumably 61 peppers, lol) if that had been my bill!"There is no substitute for time."

I love it we bought an RTC pie, it went through at £260, but they were first class in resolving the issue and some vouchers as an ops sorry.0

My Asda give a £2 gift card for every item they overcharge you for. Checkthis with their head office, as you may be due a lot more than £5.Slimming World at target0

True, I am even more surprised I let my wife have a lie in this morning while I went shopping in Costco, Tesco and Morrisons!0 -
I always check the receipts before I leave a shop but I can guarantee if my hubby goes shipping, there's always an error on the receipt!0
