Frustrated with Catalogue Company

A few weeks ago I placed an order with a catalogue. When I received the order I got a code for 20% off on the paperwork. A pair of wellies I ordered were sent as the wrong size so I reordered them, and I also decided to reorder a coat I liked to get the 20% off. I sent the full price items back.

The new items arrived (coat and wellies) with the 20% off and I kept them.

Looking at my account they'd billed me for the full price items and have it down that I returned the items I had 20% off. I telephoned them to sort it out, and you'd think it'd be a case of adjusting the price right? Wrong.... they've now added on a new coat and wellies and took the 20% off those, so they now have me down as keeping two coats and two pairs of wellies.

I'm getting really frustrated as no one seems to be actually looking at the account transactions to see where it has gone wrong.

What I'd like to know is if it didn't get sorted some time soon, what do I do about payment. I want to pay for what I owe asap but I don't want to pay for, or incur interest for these extra items.

Any advice on how I can sort go about disputing this is greatly appreciated.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

    Ring them and ask to speak to a supervisor - usually they have actually been trained, as opposed to the telephone ops who often have had very little training - OH has worked for a couple of large catalogues & tells some horror stories of the things that go wrong!
