We are moving into a flat which has pre payment meters for both gas and electric which are both with bgas, am i right in saying that i have come across to find out that you can top up your gas and electric pre payment meters online instead of having to grab your coat and pay at a shop??

if so this would be great for us just want that question clearing up lol

Yes you can. You have to ask for the gizmo to do this with and it plugs into a USB port when you want to top it up.

you can but some suppliers charge you for it
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

OP said British Gas. BG don't charge unless you don't use it after they've sent it to you. If you don't use it within a month they charge you £10.

brilliant thanks for the link and the info, when we have set up our broadband and have moved in i will be sure to apply for one, as im pregnant witha 4 year old and when the weather gets bad and icy i will be worried about walking to the shops and trapsing my 4 year old out in the cold, so by getting this gadget it would be a great idea.

Just to point out you have to use internet explorer to top up on line. British Gas' system does not support any other browser (i.e. firefox, chrome)
    :AWhatever it is - I didn't do it!:A
