It looks good, can't fault it. Archos get decent reviews.

Why doesn't it say which version of Android it's running ??

It's good for the price, from a quick search it looks like it's running Gingerbread (2.3) and Archos is a good make

Obviously budget tabs will have some limitations - this one only has WiFi b and g (so lower range and lower speed than if you had n), the processor is single-core so not the fastest around, storage is on the low side at 8GB so might be worth finding out if it will take an external card should you need more storage.

Edit: it also looks like there's no access to the "normal" Android market, only AppsLib which is basically Archos' market - the number of apps available there might be limited.

This is how Archos are able to make it so cheap; manufacturers have to pay a fee to license Google's own apps (including the Market).

You can also use http://slideme.org/ with Archos (and other) non-market tablets. It tries to ensure only compatible apps are downloaded but with any non approved tablet some stuff will fail.

I think i will have a look around to see what other bargains are on offer and then make a decision on this one.
