New Computers for Youth Club
Options
I am trying to raise enough money to replace the very well used computers for our Salvation Army youth club. A local school 4 years ago very generously donated their old computers to us and these have been used to death and need replacing.
Does anyone know of any schemes etc that help with computers either at a cheaper rate than brand new to buy or good second hand computers.
Thank you very much!!:)

Some ideas:
- Don't be under ambitious -- if you have a good project, write up a proposal for it to be a great project. Don't take any old cast-off PC unless you fail to access funding elsewhere.
- You need a proposal and a budget. Be sure to include networking, printer, broadband access.
- If you are a registered charity or under the wing of a registered charity, funding is easier.
- Visit your local voluntary service bureau for help and advice. They will know about funders interested in your area.
- Think about the outcomes -- youth jobskills etc. Whoever funds you will be excited about helping young people, not excited about giving away computers.
