HSBC manual payments

If I make a manual payment to my Barclaycard this amount is taken off the minimum payment taken by direct debit later in the month - is the same true for HSBC cards, or will the minimum payment be unaffected by manual payments made beforehand?

I have looked on my statements and online for the answer but can't find one - if anyone knows I'd appreciate knowing the answer.

Many thanks.

It may be mentioned in the DDI confirmation letter they sent you, if you still have it/can find it.
  • No - not within the same statement cycle for HSBC. The minimum DD is fixed at the time when the statement is produced. The same applies even if you get a refund mid cycle too :(
