Sold a girls coat on ebay and posted on Monday. it sold for £10 and I listed it as new without tags as I bought it for my daughter who refused to wear it after I removed tags.
Buyer says that no way has it not been worn, which astonished me and also claims that I have cut tags out of the coat to hide the fact that it was obviously for a younger child as it doesnt fit her daughter.
Im quite stunned as it was a beautiful coat and I know that my unblemished 100 per cent pos will now be blemished:mad:
Should I just refund, or let the buyer raise a dispute? I know paypal will find in her favour anyway

Ask her to return for a full refund, she'll no doubt win a dispute if she opens a SNAD case.0

Im happy to refund in full but wouldnt if I should wait until she opened a dispute.
I have replied advising that I will refund the item and the postage but not her return postage, she has refused this saying she wants me to pay the return postage also0 -
Ebay or paypal won't refund return postage anyway, so she's either trying it on or she's new. I bet she's just changed her mind.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
I did wonder either of those tbh as she has a small feedback rating and has neg feedback for being a seller herself.
She has now responded saying she doesnt want to put herself out of pocket by returning it so will give it to charity, but shes leaving me negative feedback0 -
She's probably one of the buyers who's been given a partial refund before & was hoping for that.
She would have got the £10 & initial p&p back so she's losing the return postage, but by not returning she will be £10 ish down.
As long as you leave a calm response to the neg most people won't take too much notice of 1 neg, it's the dsr's that count.0 -
well.I have just had the rudest reply back from her as I responded again re iterating that the coat hadnt been worn but I was happy to refund and that I can gauruntee it hasnt been worn.
She replied saying that I was a freak that I obviously took ebay WAY to seriously. She said she didnt have the time or inclination to return the item and wanted to just let me know she wasnt happy rather than leave bad feedback, but was leaving bad feedback as I had been so rude to her
Ever so slightly gobsmacked tbh, Im not replying .0 -
If and when she negs it will do her as much damage as it does you as it makes her look unreasonable. Also any seller daft enough to buy and sell on the same account, and use that account to leave poor feedback is going to come a cropper one day.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If the buyer does leave neg feedback I think you can respond to it, which will show up for other ebay users to see.
Perhaps a comment from you along the lines of " Refund offered upon return of item - buyer refused"

Thank you, yes I will just follow up feedback with a factual comment0
