Dulux supermatt mist coat

Hi,

Just done two freshly platered cellings with 3:1 mix of trade supermatt: water as instructed on the tub.

The weird thing is it has covered really well. Looks like it only needs 1 more coat.

Have I done something wrong I always expected a mist coat would look really patchy?

Two coats of Dulux Brilliant white matt covered my ceiling but I gave it a third coat to be sure.

2 coats with Supermatt will cover any new plaster. Sometimes even a single coat looks good!We would not use this as a finishing paint as its not very durable

Thanks guys. What type of paint would be best for the finishing coat? Its for lounge, dinning room, halls and bedrooms. Bathroom and kitchen are already done.

just normal dulux trade matt emulsion would be better , the diamond and endurance are overpriced hype imho

I'd use normal paint on ceilings, since you don't often have kids bumping toys against them etc. For walls I think Endurance is very good. It is tougher and easier to clean. I assume Crown easyclean is also an acrylic paint.
