I need a Citreon Pluriel passenger seat and NOWHERE has them!

Have i been looking in the wrong place? I dont know where else to look - my current seat has broken, it moves forwards and back on the run but the actual back of the seat doesnt lock in an upright position so all of my passengers end up lying back ! Was funny to begin with, but now irritates the hell out of me.

I enquired about getting it fixed but supposedly its going to cost an awful lot of money?! (been quoted a few hundred at the very least!)

I've looked in breakers yards, tried ringing all of the local places i can think of - are there any national places that can send me a seat that i get put in myself here? Im in Bham..


Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Might be worth enquiring at a good Peug or Citroen indy specialist.

Peug 206's had their seats replaced as often as the engine oil, usually the frame was replaced at the main dealers, presumably under warranty but who knows?

A good indy should be able to strip the seat down to the frame and should know which mechanism from the other similar cars in the range will fit.

C3 might be different as it's 4 door so won't have the tilt/slide but a donor frame or it's important bits from a 206 2 door or a C2 is a possible.

Have you asked Citroen UK for a goodwill contribution.

I did get sent one Citreon but because the Pluriel is a different type of car than the standard, the seats are quite different and the one I've ended up with, didnt fit. I know have a car seat that i dont need and still a broken one!

Google for Peugeot or Citroen forums, and use their combined knowledge to find a recommended make specific independent, then phone them.

Depending what it came off the seat you have might have the correct mechanism which a decent indy can strip and make one good seat out of two.

Any breaker who has you're correct seat type is unlikely to have it in the right colour so i expect it's going to need stripping out anyway.

Have you asked your Citroen dealer to ask Citroen UK for a contribution under goodwill, unlikely but at least you'll know where to spend your money next time depending on the answer?

I did have to look this one up its a C3.. Checkout the other C3 range of seats.

Some on ebay.

Even seats for the pluriel listed.

Or get the seat fixed. Not much to go wrong with them. Few brackets and teeth.

MY first option was to get the seat fixed - all of my quotes have said this would cost a fortune though!

Depends if your talking main dealers who struggle with anything that involves real work.

Ahhh ive broken a fingernail, Thats OK we can charge the customer for a new set of nails and a relaxing
sauna and massage, Just put it down as sundry or consumable items on the bill.
