Hi,
Does anyone know if you can use a company fuel card in Europe?
I am new to my job and on my 1st company car with taxable fuel card. I intend to go to France on holiday and would be good if I could use the card seeing as I am paying the tax for it.
I mentioned it to my boss who reckoned I would not be allowed, but is this a company policy or his opinion, or not allowed for anyone? I don't want to rock the boat without knowing where I stand first.
Anyone else use theirs or been in the same situation?

depends who issues the fuel card.
a UK based card issuer is not going to be accepted in France.
a petrol retailer card MAY be accepted, such as BP TOTAL FINA SHELLI have a cunning plan!
Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -

I`d ring the number on the back, ask them if its valid where you are going. If the firm is happy to pay for your private miles they should be fine wherever the card is acceptable. Like CM says I think you might have a limited range of places where it works in France.

I should also check that the owner of the car permits it to be used abroad !0
