Grown up 5 year old girls

I've got 7 little 5 year old girls to buy for, who all think they're teenagers, so I was thinking of a little pamper basket, but cheap.
So far I'm thinking, from ebay you can get 3ml rollon perfumes for about £2, some hair slides, maybe a bath bomb or melt.
I was thinking maybe a princess crown, but I think they did all the plastic princess stuff last year, so want to try to find something a bit different.
Any other suggestions?

Don't you think a pamper pack like that is a little old for five year old's. They will have plenty of time to grow up and enjoy those sort of things.

Personally i think the idea is okay.... i would avoid the perfume as a rule (allergies etc)

I would go for hairslides, Bath bomb (maybe.... tho the allergy thing would still worry me lol) and general pretty bits like hair bobbles, little bracelets etc. Maybe some barbie or tinkerbell etc pencils and rubber sets etc??
And of course some sweeties!!!!!! that'll do!

BTW - what is this for? Party bag type thing? Xmas??
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?
  • Definitely theyre too young for things like that - i have 5 years olds in my class and they love dolls/dolls heads to do their hair and stuff like that. Even though they act older, theyre still only babies! :)
    so far....Radox Waterproof book...10 Business cards (ideal for new pad!)...Fabric samples...Shower timer...Flush saver...Seeds ahoy...
  • Well for what it's worth I think it's a nice idea.Yes they're still babies but mine definately LOVE things like this.I've bought lots of things for my 5 & 6 year old DDs and made a lovely basket for them, one pink one purple :)
I've bought some bath bombs which they love, those disolvable glitter gel bath sachets,a little hairbrush and mirror set,a disney princess expanding flannel,a cat bath mit,a set of bath crayons, some sparkly hair clips and some mini soaps. They're all little things to make bath time more fun and as my girls are really "girly girls" they'll love it.
I post this after myself and my 5 and a half year old just spent over an hour having great fun doing each others make up..it's just a bit of fun and bonding time :D

My 3 year old would love something like this. She loves dressing her dollys and doing their hair. She looks at the stands in the supermarkets/shops which have hair bobbles, kiddies bracelets etc. I think the trick is to keep away from 'adult treatments', but put things specifically for little girls. Try the supermarkets for some lovely little accessories. My little girl even likes purses and bags - she never takes them out, just plays at home with them. Accesorize has some cute little things in - rubbers, pencils, pretty stickers too. Hope you manage to find something suitable.

I think its a great idea too. I remember when my niece was 5 she loved stuff like that, but we only gave her stuff for young girls, rather than the stuff aimed at older girls, if that makes sense.

    My ideas:
bubble bath - you could buy a big bottle of 'something pink' and decant it into smaller bottles for each girl
lip balm - nothing fancy, just a pain chapstick type thing (I remember my niece pretending her's was lipstick)
socks - you can get them in a pack and split them up
    jewellery
a bag to put it all in
some pink sweets (e.g. pink smarties)
  • Thanks for the suggestions, they're for birthday presents, they all have b'days dec or jan. I see your point about them being young, but its a pamper gift, not a beauty one, whats wrong with a bath bomb? I like the idea of the expanding flannel and the glitter bath gel. We have a Claires accesories in our outlet shopping centre for extra cheap sparkly girly stuff, like hair slides and things.
I know them all well, I dont think allergies will be a problem, but I'll mention it to the mums incase.

i think its a good idea too, but would agree to check allergies etc...(my 5 year old still can not use normal bubble baths, washes etc).

she also loves nail varnish (never allowed on outside!)
    doing MY make up!
hair clips etc etc.... anything PINK!!!
she still loves dressing up too!
  • Chanie, I just saw yours, I love the idea of putting bubble bath in a pretty bottle, thanks.
