Wowsers BLUis - that's one lucky daughter!

I got the "tacky" :rotfl: glasses for bridesmaids, mums and OH's dad (he got a pint glass). They are these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/hand-painted-personalised-bridesmaid-wedding-gift-glass-/170527860050?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Celebrations_Occasions_ET&hash=item27b440a552

The parents absolutley loved them and haven't stopped going on about how good they are. They also went down well with the bridesmaids. It's just a bit of fun and something to keep forever (I think it's more memorable and personal than jewellery - but that's just me)

I also created smaller versions of these "Sarah loves..." prints and framed them. I used Powerpoint - it took a while! But it was fun to do and the last sentance was "being a fantastic friend and wonderful bridesmaid...thank you".

You know your bridesmaids better than us - but I would alsways prefer personalised over expensive. Thoughtful over obvious...

I think those are a fab idea! N cheap if u make your own too! Thanks!

We made charm bracelets for the bridesmaids - and picked 5 or 6 charms each that were special to that person - and included a little card explaining why we'd chosen each. That way they were all very personal, but they all got a matching box, something of the same value etc.
  • I've been a bridesmaid twice and got a voucher for a spa day (my mum and sister got the same so we made a girly weekend of it after the wedding), and a little vintage-style mirror compact out of Monsoon.

Personally if you can wait until after the day I quite like the idea of getting a photo of you and them and putting it in a nice frame.

Yes she is lucky, but it will be her 18th present more than anything and wont be brand new or anything like that. It will be an old banger to get her to Uni and back! lol

I love those bridesmaid glasses, will be ordering one of those!

  • I got silver jewellery boxes for my BM's from H Samuels and got them engraved with their name, "Bridesmaid" and the date. I've also got them them painted champagne flutes (from the same seller as Trying 2 be Good and I was mega pleased with them, would recommend her) and these will be given out on the morning of the wedding while we're getting ready.

I got them on ebay. Also have a website called Daniels direct. Really great. In presentation box with a silver plaque that you can have what you want writen on ie "Thank yu for being our bridesmaid" and in a blue velvet pouch. Really nice people to deal with too.
