bridesmaids presents for grown ups

hi everyone,

what are peoples plans for this? 5 of my best girlfriends are being bridesmaids and id like to get them something good for a present as a think you.

don't really like the tacky glasses etc.

not sure about jewellery as all are very different, or should i cater for each one?

was also thinking possibly perfume? but again would need to tailor it to each girl.

just wondered if anyone else had any unique ideas they want to share? :)

  • Hi

There are 2 sites i think I'm planning on using, either these personalised journals -
    http://www.ohsocherished.co.uk/section/296/1/my_beautiful_journals/8c06af158204580740db57b00c50c5b2
or an engraved bracelet/bangle from https://www.notonthehighstreet.co.uk

Other than that I can't really think of anything unique and personal

I didn't have the problem as I only had one BM but if I'd had more than one adult I'd not have tried to get the same for each. Probably try to 'theme' it so get each a piece of jewellery but get them something that they'd each like and not even think about finding one thing that they'd all like

I would try Not on the high street and probably order them all something personlised, ie a picture or jewellry. I think something to keep is nicer than perfume which will all be used up. Just a thought. Megan

I am thinking of engraved silver compact mirrors. It is something I know they will use, and don't have!

  • mine have got a Thomas Sabo bracelet with a charm, and a 'tacky' Bridesmaid wine glass!!! :rotfl:
  • Sorry I totally should not have used the word tacky. I like them just don't think a few of my BMs would. Didn't even know you could get wine glass ones! What are they like?

I have 1 (almost adult) bridesmaid - she is getting a car!

Ok , have to explain that dont I!

My daughter is 18 3 days after we get married, so its really a birthday present, but we are going to try and give it her at the wedding, so that her 18th isn't completely overshadowed!!
Married the absolute love of my life on Sunday May 6th and I couldnt be happier!!!
  • Wowsers BLUis - that's one lucky daughter!

I got the "tacky" :rotfl: glasses for bridesmaids, mums and OH's dad (he got a pint glass). They are these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/hand-painted-personalised-bridesmaid-wedding-gift-glass-/170527860050?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Celebrations_Occasions_ET&hash=item27b440a552

The parents absolutley loved them and haven't stopped going on about how good they are. They also went down well with the bridesmaids. It's just a bit of fun and something to keep forever (I think it's more memorable and personal than jewellery - but that's just me)

I also created smaller versions of these "Sarah loves..." prints and framed them. I used Powerpoint - it took a while! But it was fun to do and the last sentance was "being a fantastic friend and wonderful bridesmaid...thank you".

You know your bridesmaids better than us - but I would alsways prefer personalised over expensive. Thoughtful over obvious...

I love those pictures, I might copy them for my sons Christmas present. Unrelated, I know, but thanks for the inspiration!
