kbbc kitchens

We had a designer round last night from Kbbc kitchens to plan a new kitchen for us. Wondered if anyone out there has any experience of this company please?

Looks like a direct sales outfit to me. Think about all the other direct sales companies out there (including some that are no more) and decide for yourself if its worth it.

  • We purchased our KBBC kitchen at the end of November, and agreed to have it installed by Dec 15:
    1. they are still completing the fit, and we move into the new place tomorrow
    2. apart from a couple of emails, we have received no paperwork, no confirmation of order, no invoice, nothing.
    3. we paid the required deposit immediately, and on the day of the delivery, they were outside the flat, refusing to deliver the kitchen into the flat unless we made full payment. The accounts lady was way too stern about it, and even sighed on the phone when I told her I just had to get to the office to phone her with my credit card number.
    4. several items were missing (fridge freezer, tumble drier, shelves) so we in fact paid in full for items we didn't have, they arrived 2 weeks later.
    5. they half fitted the kitchen, left rubbish everywhere, and disappeared after one day
    6. after many calls I ended up sending a formal letter, recorded delivery to get their attention
    4. we had a special 0% interest deal on our credit card, and so asked for the full amount to be charged to the card. They 'forgot' to tell us that we had to pay for the fitting directly to the fitters, so the other day we had to 'find' £1500 cash as the fitters wanted payment.
I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole again.
