Opus card: closed card still showing as "Open" in credit report after nearly a year

I closed my Opus account (previously Citi) towards the end of last year and got a confirmation that it would be closed on 09/12/2010. I recently requested a credit report and was shocked to find it was still showing as "Open" after 11 months. I phoned Opus's CS but was told that as it was closed long time ago, she could no longer access my account.

Should I be worried about this (ie, what's the implication of this on my credit score)? How do I get around to get the status updated? Thanks.

The implication is that the available credit is still open to you.
This could potentially stop you getting more credit - but only if you hit a limit when it's combined with your other credit.

You need to get Opus to update is as settled with their CRAs (there are 3 - experian, equifax and call credit).
If you don't get nay lukc with the operator on the phone (many jsut read off scripts and are not well trained) then you need to submit a formal complaint.
The operator can only do a certain set of limited actions.

Don't contact any of the CRAs - becuase firstly you migh have to contact all 3 and secondly it may jsut get updated incorrectly again on the next montly update from Opus, so you need to get it corrected at source.

Somebody at Opus told me that they only submit. To CRAs every 3months.

They issued a card to me, even though I had closed my Citibank account before Opus took over. Here I am 2 years later trying to sort it out.
