Amazon Warehouse Deals a con

Hi there,
I thought I'd post up my experience of the Amazon Warehouse Deals to warn others. I was looking for a Sony TX5 camera on Amazon and the New price jumped from £199 to £249 (present price), so I decided to go for their warehouse deal which was £177 for a "Like New" product.
The day after I ordered it the price on the Warehouse deals jumped to £190 or so for "Like New", and £178 for a "Used - Good" item.
Well the camera arrived a few days ago - the box was immaculate!! (not sealed though as expected), but when I took the camera out it was in tatters. Covered in scratches - front and back. It looked like somebody had put it under the foot and dragged it across the ground! It had had a very hard life, possibly in somebody's handbag with a bunch of keys and coins!
What a complete and utter rip-off. Obviously it has been sent straight back to them for a refund. This was my first (and last!) time dealing with Amazon Warehouse Deals, and possibly Amazon too after that joke of a service.
I had read so many good reports about Amazon Warehouse Deals - so disappointed. Hopefully somebody will see this and think twice before going down the Amazon Warehouse Deals route.

What a horrid experience. But... as you yourself say, you've heard so many good reports, which means that other people are getting a good service. Having used them myself I've had nothing but good experiences - even when I used the American one and my goods got lost (within 5 miles of home!). Everyone, companies as big as Amazon included, makes mistakes occasionally. Hopefully this will be put right and your next experience will be as good as mine have been.
BTW there's a specific 'praise, vent and warnings' board for experiences like this, someone will probably move this thread there in the not too distant future.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan
