Csa Not Sending Payments On

MY ex has sent a payment to the CSA for the first time in ages. I called them to ask why it had not beeen sent on to me. I was told that the accounts department were running well behind and could i wait another two weeks?!!!
Surely it is bad enough that the CSA do little to nothing to enforce payment ( i've had 8 payments in the last 10 years) you'd think it would be a priority to ensure payments were forwarded as soon as they came in.
I'm considering writing a letter of complaint and charging them interest for each day that they hold onto the payment. Any advice on how much interest i should charge? (My current account pays 5.15%). Also any advice on how i should word my letter would be greatfully received.
Thanks in advance

I would speak to the HEO and make a formal complaint. Also go direct to your MP, do not pass Go, do not claim 200 pounds!!!! It is a disgrace that they are not paying up - it isn't their money to hold on to. Have you checked the legislation to see if late payments are subject to interest payments?0

I asked to make a formal complaint on the phone and was told it would have to be done in writing and sent to the Falkirk ofice. I haven't checked legisaltion. I'll do that now. Thank youOverdraft - £1,300 5%

soozig  omg talk about reading my own story lol at the moment i'm in a bit of a dispute with the CSA regarding payments funnily enough we are dealing with the same office (Falkirk) should be fun!!
I'm also making a formal written complaint and i am requesting that they compensate me for all the wasted phone calls that i have made chasing them up, they also request bank statements and i am not talking 3 or 4 they want a whole year's worth  so they can pay the postage on this also plus the interest on the payments that they haven't bothered to send out to myself.
So soozig good luck

Zara33 - why are the CSA asking for your bank statements? Surely they know that they haven't paid you?0

Sorry maybe i didn't word it correctlykelloggs36 wrote:Zara33 - why are the CSA asking for your bank statements? Surely they know that they haven't paid you?
the csa have made some payments, but not at the set amount that was payable from the NRP does that make sense
eg assessment NRP assessment £250.00 pm only getting £100.00pm and the CSA want bank statements to prove this, at first they tried to say that xxx amount goes to the secretary of state as they automatically assumed i am on IS, this is not the case.
They say they are correct and i am wrong

???? does every penny the guy pays go straight to ex? i thought money they paid went to government to pay for the benifits that the ex partner claims??
the worlds gone mad that means my mate basically pays for the ciggarettes, drink and night out for his ex missus and only gets supervised visits once a fortnight even tho he has never done a thing wrong (no abuse or violence or anything towards ex or his child) as a soon to be father myself its makes my blood boil
fathers for justice have my support id be doing it if i was in their shoes:T0 -

if your not on is or other benifits you dont need 250 a month0 -
An assessment is based upon the earnings of the NRP so the children benefit out of their income. It is not for you to say that a PWC does not need 250 pounds per month in maintenance - if that's the assessment, then the NRP should pay it.
Now Zara33, THEY hold a record of what was paid to you and when on the accounts screen. If they have allocated money to the secretary of state incorrectly then it needs to be addressed PDQ - they know where the money has been sent!!!!! Have you checked that they have EVER held you as being on Income Support? Have you ever been on IS? If not then it is pretty simple. Income Support would have a record (which CSA have access to) if you did have a claim and came off so I can't see why they are asking you to prove what you have had from them when they have the details. You need to ask THEM for a breakdown in payments sent to YOU.0 -

Not all parents with care are on benefits you know!!! It is still up to both parents to maintain their children. The one looking after the child is clearly doing that anyway so the other parent has to make a contribution to that support. I am not on benefits yet my ex husband is still the father of my daughter and as such has a legal duty to maintain her.
I do not go out drinking, I do not smoke. It is such a cliche that all mothers waste their money whilst the child sits with no clothes, isn't fed and is completely neglected according to the Non Resident parent. Many Non resident parents refuse to maintain their children purely to get back at the other parent which is pathetic and short sighted. The money is for the benefit of their child. So what if the mother (usually) has enough income? It is still the legal duty of BOTH parents to maintain THEIR child - nobody else. THat is not the state (unless it has to hence Income Support) nor any other person who comes into the child's life, eg step parents. The Step parents pay anyway by default, is that fair when it isn't their child? Regardless of fault of the relationship breakdown, it never takes away the fact that a child is for life, not just when you feel like it.0 -
In fact Jamstaruk, the new system which is due to come into effect next year will indeed help those on Income Support as it has been suggested that they get all money from their ex as well as income support - something you nor I agree with by the sounds of things. As it stands, they get up to 10 pounds per week if the assessment is 10 pounds per week or more.
Are you also saying that if an NRP (male or female) earns a fortune that the child should lose out because they are too tight to pay? It isn't up to the Government to determine how anybody spends their money, they just try to ensure that children have access to it for their upbringing as it costs a fortune to bring them up.0
