Wet Parking ticket

Hi,
This is relating to my mums car.
We noticed a fixed penalty notice on the windscreen, not in a wallet just the paper.
It had rained since it was placed there and we have no idea what it's for, is there any way for us to find out?
We're assuming it is for either no tax or MOT

Are you saying you cannot make out anything at all, not even who it was issued by?
Parking tickets, as such, are not issued for no tax or MOT. If it is a parking ticket, go to the local councils website, look for 'Pay Parking Charge' or similar, enter your Reg no. and see if there is a penalty outstanding.0 -
We can just about make out the registration but that's it.
It's a fixed penalty notice I , I don't have it to hand at the moment0 -
It is a fixed penalty notice from the police.
Sorry for getting it wrong in the OP, I'm not in the habit of getting tickets so didn't realise there were different types
I can just make out the date which is either the 21st or 27th October. 27th would make sense as we had very heavy rain for most of the day
The registration of the car is just visable
Cannot make out the offence code at all.0 -
I would take it to your local cop shop and ask for more details. Pay and then wait for the dvla to send a "fine" for the tax etc. Likely they will ask for all the tax up to date plus a fine for being naughty. Take car off road sharpish if no tax and MOT.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Thanks, will do that tomorrow.
The car is booked in for an MOT monday, we didn't realise that the tax etc had run out.
She gets free road tax due to disability and as far as we knew she'd applied for the new tax, apparently not!0
