Own Brand Budget Range Chocolate

Options
:hello:

Thought i would mention how much i love the Supermarkets 25p 100g Bars of chocolate:

Asda Smartprice & Morrisons Bettabuy are the same i think, and they are the best, taste really similar to galaxy IMO.

Tesco Value is OK, but always seems to give me a headache (i don't know why, could just be a coincidence!)

Sainsburys basics chocolate USED TO BE NICE, but they have now changed it... Its nothing like it used to be, nice'ish'

All of them are 25p per bar of 100g, so for the price of a 200g cadburys dairy milk (£1'ish'), as nice as it is, you can get 400g of budget chocolate (4 bars) for the same price!

Double for your money!

    U sound like a conoisseur!!

I've not personally had the Tesco Value ones but the standard Tesco Milk Chocolate and Dark Chocolate are certainately very nice

Still can't beat paying a bit more for Green and Blacks for a treat once in a while tho! :T

  • Asda own brand (not smartprice) Fruit & Nut is awesome. Absolute loaded with.. fruit and nuts, funnily enough. But yeah, gorgeous!

Stop it, stop it, stop it! Some of us are on diets and can't eat chocolate.

Not sure why I looked at this thread, I want to go and do some consumer testing now!!
Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!

Have you ever tried Somerfield brand? I prefer it more than the old Sainsbury's one. It is 25p each.

Never tried Asda and Morrison, as there is no any of these supermarket nearby where I live.

  • All brands of cheap chocolate work fine in a chocolate fountain, just incase you thought you had to buy the proper chocolate fountain chocolate (what a racket that is!! my hubby got ripped off when he bought my fountain, shop said you needed the special chocolate Doh!!) yum yum yum!

Aldi do a chocolate bar which looks like and tastes like Dairy Milk - in a purple and silver wrapper, but a lot cheaper.
