Not much luck here either. Over 8 weeks now too and zero response except automated email acknowledgement. Chased after 4 weeks, no response.

Called Monday and asked to email complaints.chairmancb@santander.co.uk

    Still nothing....... :(

Although I've been away from home for about a week and don't get back for another 3 so I guess they could have written in that time.

I rang santander to obtain my SAR documents and they were a nightmare, firstly they asked me to explain what one of those was then they promptly told me that yes that would be fine and they had been put through and would arrive within 7-10 days. However when i quieried how the payment for £10 would be taken they said that they can only be ordered by writing to them and enclosing a cheque, not sure if they were being deliberately obtrusive but think they were. This was only after i had been given three different numbers to ring and the minute i mentioned the cahoot/santander flexi loan they got quite rude. I have sent off the letter recorded post today asking for a monthly breakdown and any interest rises that happened. Will wait and see what comes back but i think they are definately rattled.

I'm sure they have someone watching this thread (the article has appeared on the main site and it would be unbelievable if they didn't have people monitoring).

It seems that they've gone to ground. What purpose this will serve I do not know.

Do we look like people who simply give up?

The failure to respond in any respect within eight weeks when that's a deadline they themselves set (though it ties in with the FOS guidelines) reflects dreadfully on them.

Let us have our decision, and let us decide whether we will take it further. Putting your hands over your eyes and hoping we'll go away just isn't going to work.

It would be nice if the MSE editorial team could go back to Santander as a follow up to their recent article, but I appreciate that this isn't WHICH and that we all use the services free.

Cell - I assume from your posts you still haven't heard anything?

I sent a chaser email on 2nd March but have received no response, nor acknowledgement to my email.

The 8 weeks is up tomorrow....

Just as a quick question I had a cahoot flex loan at this time. I've looked at the article but it doesn't mention if its standard loans or if flex loans were included.

My loan closed in the first quarter of 2007. A few house moves later and I'm unsure if there is any rate hike I was subject to. Is it still worth pursuing?

    It's only FlexiLoans.

Unless there's something when I get home, then no.

I'm not holding my breath, as I quite like living:D.

Ahh! May do a SAR. Silly question but what if you have no idea of your account number!

    Here is mine:

12th Jan 2012 - Initial complaint emailed to CEO.
13th Jan 2012 - Acknowledgment email, and advised 21 working days for a response

27th Jan 2012 - Generic letter confirmed complaint received and they would be looking into it (no dates mentioned)

2nd Mar 2012 - Chaser email sent - no response received

Fingers crossed no knock back yet...but is no news, good news?

So my 8 weeks are up tomorrow, although I will give them until Monday for a response, and then I'll proceed with FOS.
